Brief information about Östersunds Auktionsverk, the oldest auction house in the Jämtland region, founded in 1938

Being an auction house based in the mid-Swedish town of Östersund, we supply high quality goods and antiques from the geographical wide and culturally rich regions of Jämtland and Härjedalen, including high-class Scandinavian glass and porcelain, art, fine antiques and of course old provincial furniture and everyday items.
Depending on what you desire, there is always an auction that suits you. No matter whether you are interested in the machine auctions taking place during the summer, auctions often located somewhere in the picturesque landscape of Jämtland and Härjedalen, or our weekly auctions in our newly built auction hall located in Oviken, dominated by provincial antiques, clocks, fine glass and ceramics, there is always something for you. However, the biggest event of the year is the annual quality auction, taking place on the first Sunday in November; this is when we sell the true top-of-the-liners.

As we have access to large warehouses, storage of goods is possible. Thus, your goods can, if desired, be stored until a larger volume has been accumulated, everything to make the shipping of your goods as environmentally friendly and economic as possible. Whenever you desire, your goods will be sent through a reliable transport company to your nearest delivery point. Any boring paper work concerning for instance tolls will be taken care of at no extra charge.

In order to place a bid you need to register and in order to register online, you need a Swedish social security number. If you don’t have a Swedish social security number, please send us your address and phone number together with a copy of your driving license, passport or international ID-card as an attached file in a mail to Den här e-postadressen är skyddad från spamrobotar, du måste ha Javascript aktiverat för att visa den and we will register you manually, thus enabling you to place your bids online.
By placing a bid, you state the maximum amount you are willing to pay for the specified object and Customer’s Service will bid as economical as possible for your account. Upon won auction, you will be notified by e-mail. The possibility exists to bid live over phone during the auction through our Customer’s Service. This is only available concerning objects of higher value and Östersunds Auktionsverk must be notified at least 24 hours prior to the auction. This kind of bids are always confirmed by Östersunds Auktionsverk, and in order to execute bids over the phone, the customer's credit card number and expiry date is needed.
All bids, including live bids and electronic bids, must be given in Swedish Kronor (SEK) and an additional charge of 15%+20 SEK is added to the final bid.
